■春、林縁の地面に沢山いる。ジミなので地面に止まると見つけづらい。

■同属のヘリオビヒメハマキに似るが、そちらは秋に出る。同じく同属のハラブトヒメハマキにも似ていて、区別の仕方が良くわからない。詳しくはヘリオビの方を参照。
